Yes, it's that time of year again, it's BrainShare! But this time, I have a crappy camera phone! Well, it's actually a very nice phone, it's just a crappy camera. But there's something primitively beautiful about the pictures, and it's all I have to share with you.

The conference is the normal schmoozing, meeting people having good discussions. More tonight, but I'm back at the room taking a small rest. And posting to LJ.

The view from my hotel room window. The gaudy red building is the Shilo Inn which is lined with red neon. Yes, it's as scary as it sounds.

The auditorium just before the opening keynote.

These are are in the middle of the street between each cross street. You can actually grab a flag, walk across the street, and cars will stop. I've done it. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I was brandishing the flag like a crazy man. Or that sometimes I take two and wave them about. Someday, one of these is coming home with me.

I had two more of the convention center, but they are too small and will just have to wait until I can retake them. I'll try and take some indoor pictures tomorrow. I may even get one of me presenting.

I hope you have a good time, and bring back some of your brain after sharing it!

God I miss Salt Lake....

I'd give you contact info for Stewart, but I think that would just be kind of confusing for him... and you... I love those flags... they rock...

You're in the same hotel I stayed out when I was there....

There's a Melthing Pot like two to three blocks away....

Re: Additionally...

Not only the same hotel, but apparently the same side of the same hotel. If I recall, I recommended the hotel to you.

And yes, I walked by the Melting Pot today, but I have a feeling I won't end up there. I have a dinner at the Rodizio Grill tomorrow night, and will probably go out with people on Wednesday and Thursday. We usually do Benihana, Mexican (usually the Blue Iguana) and Thai this week, and we only have time for 2 of them.
