Feb. 24th, 2005 @ 10:25 pm Supertrain
It came up at lunch today. Who remembers Supertrain?

I do. The train was cool because 1) It was non-stop transcontinental, 2) It was so big it rode on 3 rails instead of 2 and 3) It was nuclear powered (I forgot about the nuclear powered thing at lunchtime). This was enough sci-fi fun for my 9 year old brain.

The show otherwise was The Love Boat. Check out the guest stars. Some impressive late '70s figures there.

The show only ran for 9 episodes but I remember it fondly, somehow. I also am pretty sure that deep in my prepubescent subconscious I knew it was bad, but I also knew I was 9 and I didn't have to worry about it for the time being. I'd have time to hate bad things, just not yet.

Someday every TV episode ever produced will be available online; but until then I can cling to my rose-colored memories of Supertrain.

yeah, something is telling me that the public isn't clamoring for a dvd box set of it...
on the other hand, maybe the museum of tv and radio has it!

You can always try the Museum of Television & Radio in New York. They apparently have a collection that you search and look at. *grin*
