I think this is Utah's main contribution to the American culinary landscape.

Fry sauce.

It's okay. I prefer dipping my fries in barbecue sauce though. Or BBQ sauce, ketchup, and some sort of hot sauce, mixed together.

I saw some kids in Wendys recently dipping fries in their Frosty™ Dairy Dessert. Mmm.

http://www.pommesfrites.ws/ Fry place in NYC -- doesn't look like they have it there, but they'd probably be willing to get some in... they've got frites sauce, but that's just european mayonaise apparently.

I remember seeing this place on the Food Network. Certainly worth a visit the next family trip to the city in the spring.

They could probably make their own fry sauce.
