Jan. 29th, 2005 @ 09:51 pm Another Novell employee blog thing
I now have added nat_feed Nat Friedman's blog</a> to my friends list. Nat Friedman is known as the co-founder of Ximian, along with Miguel de Icaza, but now of course he's a Novell employee. I enjoy reading his blog because his life intersects tangentially with mine. He's got some cool stuff about Utah in his blog.

Interesting story--I was at Brainshare last year (and I will be again this year) at the big developer shindig, and some guy asked me to take a picture of him with some other people. Of course I did. The guy was Miguel de Icaza, and the people included Nat Friedman. Having never seen pictures of them I didn't know who they were until I saw them on stage the next day. I don't think I would have treated them any differently but it was pretty odd all the same. And a good party--the Port of Call is the best bar in Salt Lake City, hands down.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the bar thing and say that it's a toss up between Splash and The Trapp Door

Re: Sorry

Now, you know I don't go to those kinds of bars. I'm not sure if I'd be fighting off advances or sitting in the corner alone drinking my beer. I'm not sure which would upset me more. At any rate, not my scene.
