Jun. 6th, 2004 @ 08:33 pm Lost my ass
I'm watching Fox (the Simpsons, the rerun of Edna and Principal Skinner's wedding) and there's an ad for the "lost episode" of Arrested Development

Lost episode? They knew exactly where it was. They were holding out until they decided to renew the show.

In other news, they're rerunning the pilot at 9:30. If you missed it the first time, really, it's the funniest sitcom on the air now. And if you watch it this summer, you'll be ready for the second season in the fall.

I whole-heartedly agree re: funniest show on TV. Scrubs got a shitty batch of new writers to make the show more accessible, and has therefore dropped off my radar into regular NBC sitcom oblivion.

However, Arrested Development almost always makes me guffaw (as I am wont to do), and though there's little serious drama in it, who fucking cares? it's hilarious.

from the "Arrested-Development-is-Rad" dept

one random moment I found guffawable:

G.O.B. and Michael are in the men's room with their father's lawyer, Barry (Henry Winkler), talking about the case against George Sr. When they leave, Barry takes out a comb to do his hair, looks at himself, and gives a quick "hey!" to the mirror right before a fast cut to the next scene.

I love that kind of subtle shit.
