Marillion in New York City.

Who's coming with me? You know you want to. Yes, I'm an insufferable fanboy, but I'm being completely objective when I say Marillion is one of the best live acts I've ever seen. I've taken people to their shows and they've come away believers.

I'll take care of getting the tickets.

but that would involve being away from home for a while and leaving the wife with the kid, which may be troublesome depending on how he's doing. But, yeah, wouldn't it be great to do NYC, drive to DC the following night, then to Philly the next day?

Definitely less than $50. Probably around $25-$35 if I had to guess. Maybe cheaper.

I should also point out that they're playing San Francisco and that's probably a day's drive from you in Portland. But, hey, it'd be fun to have you and I, real Marillion fans, with periol and kingfox. If it's worth your frequent flyer miles, then cool.

It seems to be generally comparable timewise (Mapquest says 9 hrs 41 min from here to San Francisco), and a flight +connection time can be in and around that range. So really it'd just be more fun to go with people I know and don't see more than twice a year (courtesy of Larssonparties). Mike would want to go as well, obviously - he's never seen them live. Let me know when you get a definite price for tickets. I'm mostly sure my schedule would allow for a quick weekend trip back east.
