Spent the weekend cleaning out the office to convert it over to a nursery. Basement is now an office instead of "place we stick crap because we can." You see, we never really organized the new house, because we didn't have to bother because it's so much bigger than the old one, and we never really had time to with all the kid stuff we dealt with. So now we're getting to sorting and organizing, and it's nice to know we have more than enough room than we need if we actually keep track of things. The basement is so much better--it's actually a place I want to hang out now, which is good since that's where the weight bench is, which I really need to visit more.
In other news, kid had strep. Thought I had strep but test came back negative. I still have a sore throat which must come from allergies or the dry Utah air last week.
Oh, and buy http://www.rfc-humor.com/. 'Cause yesthattombought a house recently and I'd sure hate to see him get all foreclosed on because he didn't have enough money because you didn't buy his book which he really didn't write, more copy-and-pasted, but I'm sure his unique imprimatur is all over it, the flourish with which he clicks the mouse button. I know Tom, and I know that his compilation skillz are better than yours, and if he made a book mostly of public domain material, it's somehow still worth buying. There is witty commentary involved here, people, and with a careful editor close by Tom's witty commentary is a thing to behold. The April Fools RFC book has been a dream of Tom's for a while now, and I always figured it would remain a nebulous, impossible dream, but Tom tilted at the windmill, and published it.
