Current Mood: embarrassedembarrassed
I'm doing the laundry this afternoon, moving the darks from the washer to the dryer, and I notice a pair of my socks that I got at Christmas. They are what I thought were simple black socks with tiny grey checks in a diagonal pattern on them, very nice. Well they were turned inside out (I often manage to turn my socks around taking them off) and I notice these tufts of blue yarn on the inside. I turn them back to outside out and see that interspersed with the grey checks are larger dark blue squares. I've had these socks for 6 months and somehow failed to notice this. Part of this is due to the fact that I'm usually putting them on early in the morning, and it tends to be dark in the bedroom in the morning, and then I don't spend a whole heck of a lot of time looking at my feet during the day, especially at work where I wear these socks. But still, I found this troubling.
